This blog update is a discussion of the benefits of
Geo-mapping and the example of The Tea Collection. The Tea Collection started
as a small company that sells baby clothing. Today the company is expanding,
and they rely on technology and IT resources to help them grow. Geo-mapping has
been one of the most important tools for the company. Tim Watson, VP of sales
for The Tea Collection, explains how he uses the technology to locate areas

Through the use of Geo-mapping, he can find areas with little competition, low
market saturation and high potential for customers. In an article for Accountancy, Ian Foster explains that
companies can use Geo-mapping for all sorts of business uses. He says, “how
about generating a map to show, at a glance, where your 90-day debtors are? Or
perhaps produce a topography showing peaks of where high sales levels are
factored with good payers?” (Foster, 2007). With the technology of Geo-mapping
becoming more readily available, the ability it possesses to enhance businesses
is ever expanding.
